After launching my career at Roche in Canada, I spent a decade at Wieden+Kennedy, mostly in Portland. I have been freelancing ever since, Along the way, I've worked on every conceivable client and category, with extended tours of duty on ESPN, Miller, Nike, Amazon, Coca-Cola and IKEA. And for what it's worth, I've collected well over 100 advertising awards, including the frou-frou Cannes Gold Lion.
I have my moments.
First and foremost a writer, I thrive in that crunch time after your client abruptly kills your tenth round of work with the next deadline looming. Otherwise known as Wednesday. Whatever you need, I'm down. Brand campaigns. Brand manifestos. Television spots. One-off fire drills. Extensions of existing work. Tagline generation. Long-form content. Activations. Pitches. Script salvage operations. Or simply stamping out the latest dumpster fire.
I'm fast. I'm punctual. I supply my own pens. And I have the kind of practical, in-the-trenches experience to get you through your next client presentation reasonably intact. Sometimes I can pull a rabbit out of the hat. Sometimes it's more like a gerbil. Either way, a small mammal is coming out of that damn headwear. Because at the end of the day, this entire industry lives and dies on having something to show.. Something smart. Something engaging. Something that a modest segment of the public may actually find entertaining. In short, the kind of something that I've been delivering on-and-off-and-on-again for my entire career.
But I'll let you judge that for yourself.
